MY BAD SISTER - Walk The Extra Mile (Original)

When the drop happens you feel tension and release. But when the drop is happening you're not only going to walk the extra mile, you'll jump and skank the whole way.

The song starts in a welcoming 'come-to-my-block-party’ like vibe sung in a catchy melody.  Rocked by a constant pulse of a hat which made my shoulders excitingly bounce, the beat is accompanied by cheeky marimba midi hysteria.

You get the full pack of double trouble in the second half of the verse with enduring harmonies in sexy sultry voices, reminding me of the ones by Gwen Stefani. At the end of the verse a prominent fat bass takes over, driving the song slowly into a build-up that continues through the chorus. The lyrics suggest what’s about to happen next - “You can move to this, There’s no rules for this”. The chorus is repeated at double time making the song swirl into the perfect build-up frame and then swirl right pass it, hitting the dirt of the most exciting jungle beats. At this moment you realise that s*** is going down. The sounds are aggressive and fun-filled with a beat which reflects the off-the-wall My Bad Sister atmosphere perfectly.

The song is refreshingly leading you to pretentiously think that you know when the drop is to happen, or not, and offers you an experience full of stupefaction and a hell lot of shapes to pull. A stimulating and distinct experience for those who think that to ‘get into the style’ or ‘to do the extra mile’ you will have to get naked on the top of a wrecking ball.
